The Hellerau Cité-Jardin (Germany) was a fantastic artistic meeting point that gathered a lot of actors from the international scene. Emile Jaques-Dalcroze stayed there from 1911 to 1914. His interdisciplinary researches reached their high point. Unfortunately the First World War temporarily dissolved the community and Emile Jaques-Dalcroze went back to Geneva where he inaugurated the Terrassière Institute in 1915. A lot of Jaques-Dalcroze training centers were developed in the world thanks to this amazing enrichment.

Nowadays the Geneva Institute represents the international center of the Jaques-Dalcroze method and it attracts many students from abroad.
Exchanges and visits from professors help develop the relationship between the Jaques-Dalcroze centers. They contribute in the diffusion of the method and its evolution within different cultures.

Professional training centers exist in many European countries and in different places throughout the world: in the US and Canada, in Asia, South-America and Australia.
Also many other countries have Eurhythmics classes for children and adults not having a professional curriculum at this moment.

On the 12th of December 2015, the Dalcroze France team (Anne-Gabrielle CHATOUX, Laetitia DISSEIX-BERGER and Anne LAMATELLE-MEYER) realized this video during the “journée Dalcroze de Vincennes” in Paris.

A memorable moment to celebrate this special 2015 year!
